Ram Mandir Movement: Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra said that in a cell of the museum, details of the long legal, political and religious journey of more than 500 years will be presented which ended with the decision of the Supreme Court in 2019. ‘
International Ram Katha Museum: Chairman of Ram Temple Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra has said that in the International Ram Katha Museum located on the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya, not only the statues and remains found during the excavation by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will be displayed but also the remains of this movement will be displayed. A special cell will also be created to present the details of the legal, political and religious journey.

Mishra, formerly the Principal Secretary of Narendra Modi, announced that the museum has been granted a lease to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and construction activities have commenced. Mishra emphasized, ‘Numerous artifacts were unearthed both during the Archaeological Survey of India’s excavations and during temple construction efforts. These findings have been meticulously preserved, with some under court orders and others entrusted to the care of the trust.’ He said that after taking permission from ASI, all these statues and remains will be displayed in the museum.

‘There will be different cells in the museum’
Mishra said, ‘There will be different cells in the museum. There will be a cell in which the things found during excavation and construction work will be kept. In a separate enclosure, a second cell will house a comprehensive exposition of the intricate legal, political, and religious odyssey spanning over five centuries, culminating in the landmark 2019 Supreme Court verdict.
In November of 2019, the Supreme Court’s landmark decision endorsed the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, directing the central government to establish a trust tasked with supervising the temple’s advancement within a concise three-month period. As a result, on February 5, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, with Mishra concurrently serving as a Trust member and assuming the role of Chairman of the Temple Construction Committee.
Mishra said that in one cell of the museum, there will be details of Ram’s forest journey and Ram stories in different languages and in another international cell, stories related to the international importance of Ram will be shown.

‘Earlier the idea was to build a museum in the temple premises itself’
Mishra told that earlier the intention was to build a museum in the temple premises itself but this could have caused problems later. He said that the Trust saw that a very good museum is available with the state government and if it gets it, the expectations of both would be fulfilled. Mishra said, ‘The state government has given the museum. Work is being started on this.
Earlier, in the plan of the Temple Trust, it was proposed to build a museum in the temple premises itself for the collection of rare antiquities related to Shri Ram and unearthed during the excavation of the foundation of the temple complex.
In 2019, the Supreme Court had decided to allot a five-acre plot at some other place in Ayodhya to the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a mosque along with the Ram temple.

When Mishra was asked that the first phase of temple construction is nearing completion but the work of construction of the mosque has still not started, he said that the work of temple and mosque construction is being looked after by two different organizations. And there is no interference from the state or central government in both.
Mishra said that the trust is doing the construction of the temple and there is a similar organization which is working on a mosque and related schemes. He said, ‘I had also read in the newspapers that there is some delay in following the rules or getting the maps passed. Right now I have received informal information that there is no hindrance of any kind. And he will start construction work in some time.
