A new world record has been created in Shri Ram’s city Ayodhya. This record is of lighting 22 lakh 23 thousand lamps. Which has been built by burning it simultaneously on the banks of river Saryu.
PM gave message
While sharing some pictures through his X account, the PM wrote that the entire country has been “illuminated” by the millions of lamps lit in Ayodhya. The energy emanating from this is spreading new zeal and new enthusiasm throughout India. The PM said that I wish that Lord Shri Ram does well for all the countrymen and becomes the inspiration for all my family members. He also described the Diwali festival as wonderful, divine and unforgettable.

Last year’s record broken
On the eve of Diwali, a Guinness World Record has been created by lighting 22 lakh 23 thousand lamps simultaneously in the Deepotsav program organized on the banks of river Saryu in Ayodhya. Last year, a record of lighting 18 lakh 81 thousand lamps was made at the same ghat. This time 22 lakh 23 thousand lamps were lit and broken.

Many leaders including UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, UP Deputy CMs Keshav Maurya and Brijesh Pathak as well as ambassadors of 50 countries were present at the Deepotsav event. Yogi Adityanath was given a certificate by the Guinness World Records team for making a unique record on Deepotsav.
When did the festival of lights start?
This unique Diwali festival started in 2017. Around 51,000 lamps were lit in 2017. Whose trend continues to increase every year. All these lamps were counted through drone cameras. Along with the Deepotsav, a laser show was also organized.

Diwali was special!
This year’s Deepotsav was also special because the construction work of Ram Temple is in full swing. The inauguration of Ram Temple is going to happen on January 22 in 2024 in which Prime Minister Modi will participate. This Deepotsav was seen live in 100 countries all over the world.
The Chief Minister, along with the leaders, worshiped the form of Shri Ram and his characters and took them in the Tretayugin vehicle Rath Baitha Helipad to the stage of Ramkatha Park.
