On this particular Wednesday, Nripendra Mishra, the chairperson of the committee overseeing the Ram temple’s construction in Ayodhya, imparted a momentous update. He joyfully revealed that the majestic temple devoted to Lord Ram will warmly welcome devotees starting from January 24th in the forthcoming year. Mishra relayed to the media that following a ten-day consecration ceremony of Ramlala scheduled between January 14th and January 24th next year, the temple’s gates will graciously swing open to devotees on this propitious occasion.

He said that the work on the ground floor of the three-storey Ram temple has been completed. He said that the trustees of Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust have decided that the process of consecration of Ramlala will be started after the Makar Sankranti festival falling on January 14.
Nripendra Mishra, who leads the committee responsible for overseeing the construction of the Ram temple, unveiled that the temple trust has received auspicious dates for the consecration of Ram Lalla. These dates have gained approval from esteemed astrologers nationwide. Based on his declaration, the astrologers have precisely identified January 21st, 22nd, 24th, and 25th as the ideal dates for conducting this sacred ritual.

Sources associated with the trust said that Ramlala can be consecrated on January 22, as it is being considered as the best date. Officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Abhishek ceremony (Pran Pratistha). During this time, the idol of Ramlala will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said that for this, a request letter signed by Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das will be sent to the Prime Minister. Rai said, ‘Since no date has been fixed for the consecration of the statue, any suitable date between December 2023 and January 26, 2024 will be sought from the Prime Minister for his permission.’

Nripendra Mishra told that the main gate of the sanctum sanctorum and the 161 feet high peak of the temple will be plated with gold. According to Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, three sculptors are working on three types of stones to carve the idols and the most attractive idol will be selected to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
Sculptors Ganesh Bhatt and Arun Yogiraj are working on various stones from Karnataka, while Satya Narayan Pandey from Rajasthan is working on the best quality Makrana marble. The three sculptors are working at three different places in Ayodhya under tight security and no outsiders are allowed to enter their workshop.
